Overview

Reporting to the Human Resources Superintendent the Human Resources Assistant provides a wide variety of both complex and routine administrative services in the areas of employee relations, full cycle recruitment, benefits administration, performance management, policy administration and other HR initiatives.

Human Resources Assistant

 

 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify all timesheets have been entered into payroll system
  • Ensure all bonus codes and payroll codes have been entered in correctly
  • Work with payroll office to ensure that all payroll corrections are administered in a timely fashion
  • Maintain and update manual and computerized filing and registration systems, compile and prepare reports and documents relating to personnel activities.
  • Prepare and issue registration papers, reimbursements or other material after requesting documents have been processed and approved.
  • Assist with the internal and external recruitment process
  • Process hiring paperwork and conduct employee orientation and onboarding.
  • Oversee employee benefit programs and company Pension Plan

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ related administration experience in a high volume environment
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Payroll and Human Resource Information Systems.
  • Excellent communication, organization, analytical, and computer skills are required, with an ability to facilitate commitment to a cooperative team effort.
  • Experience in working with diverse cultures is an asset.
  • The ability to problem solve and make sound business decisions while working independently is critical to success in this role.
  • The individual should have demonstrated a high level of energy, self motivation and strong organizational skills.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.

 

The schedule for this position is based in a camp operation working on a defined rotation schedule.
