Reporting Manager Role
Purchasing and Logistics Superintendent
Reporting to the Purchasing and Logistics Superintendent, the Strategic Sourcing and Contract Specialist, an individual contributor, is responsible for all aspects of strategic sourcing, negotiations, contract management and administration.
Leading negotiations of new contracts and renewals.
Review and modification of vendor supply and service agreements as required.
Strategic sourcing of materials and services for the Island Gold mine site.
Ensuring suppliers adhere to Alamos’ purchase terms and conditions.
Ensuring suppliers adhere to new and existing contract terms for usage, cost, lead time, supply, among others.
Development and distribution of request for proposal (RFP) documents.
Bid analysis and recommendation.
Assisting the supply chain management group in the execution of procurement strategies and company objectives.
Undergraduate degree in business administration, finance or equivalent
SCMP, CSCP, CPIM or equivalent designation considered an asset
Minimum 8 years of chain management experience required
Minimum 3 years contract administration experience or equivalent would be considered an asset
The individual should demonstrate a high level of energy, self motivation and strong organizational skills.
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, growing work environment.
The incumbent will demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, a strong commitment to working in a safe, socially responsible manner.
