  • Overview

    Reporting to the Sr. Production Engineer, the mine engineering EIT will be involved in every facet within the engineering department for the first 24 months, followed by an underground internship of 12 months.  This full time position for newly graduated engineers will lead to a role in the engineering or mine department upon completion of the 36 month program.


    The schedule for this position is based in a camp operation working on an 8-6 rotation schedule with flights provided from Sudbury and Rouyn-Noranda.


    • Engineering (24 months)
      • Ventilation (6 months)
      • Ground Control (6 months)
      • Surveying (6 months)
      • Long-hole Planning (6 months)
    • Underground (12 months)
      • Development (2 months)
      • Production (6 months)
      • Construction (3 months)


    • Graduate BSc in Mining Engineering
    • Previous experience in an underground operation would be highly regarded.
    • Underground Common Core modules would be seen as an asset.
    • The individual should demonstrated a high level of energy, self motivation and strong organizational skills.
    • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, growing work environment.
    • The incumbent will demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, a strong commitment to working in a safe, socially responsible manner. 
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, Autocad and Promine is required.
