    Position: Exploration Manager, Lynn Lake


    Reports to: Director Exploration, Canada.


    Role Overview:  The Exploration Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the Company’s exploration activities on the Lynn Lake Project.  You will be based in Lynn Lake, Manitoba and will work a 20/10 rotation schedule. Travel from your home to site, room and board, will be provided at the Company’s expense.


    Primary Responsibilities:        

    • Management of the exploration process at the Lynn Lake Project, including but not limited to program planning and budgeting, management and oversight of exploration programs to move targets from grassroots status into reserve status, and management of staff and stakeholders;
    • Ensure that all aspects of the exploration programs adhere to the best practices for geoscience, environmental, and health and safety standards;
    • Completion of all technical work programs within approved timelines and budgets and delivery of all required information in a timely manner;
    • Designing processes and procedures to continually improve technical systems and methodologies;
    • Collection and maintenance of high-quality data and constant monitoring of the data collection process;
    • Work in collaboration with the exploration team on the analysis and interpretation of the geology and prospectivity of the Company’s tenements to define and prioritize exploration targets;
    • Contribute to developing exploration work programs and to strategic exploration planning;
    • Providing mentoring and guidance for geoscientists and geotechnical staff on the Lynn Lake Project team;
    • Establish and ensure that best practices are being employed and that technical expertise is being used effectively to meet project milestones and objectives;
    • Generation of short-, mid- and long-term reports and presentations as required;
    • Establish and implement technical training programs for continued professional development, ensure technical coaching and ongoing mentorship for the team; and
    • Other duties as outlined by the Director Exploration, Canada.


    Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

    • A bachelor’s degree in Geology or Earth Science; Post-graduate degree, an asset;
    • Minimum 15 years’ experience in mineral exploration with significant gold experience, including a minimum of 5-years of experience in the management and administration of exploration projects;
    • A strong understanding of geological settings, deposit models, and ore-forming processes as it pertains to the latest concepts of gold deposit environments particularly in Archean and/or Paleoproterozoic greenstone belts;
    • Regional-scale targeting and exploration experience in greenstone belts;
    • A demonstrated commitment to safety, environment, and community;
    • A track record of talent development with strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills;
    • Self-motivated, possesses leadership abilities, and sound judgement;
    • Previous work experience with Leapfrog, ArcGIS, MicroMine, and other related software platforms; and
    • Registered as a Professional Geologist or Engineer to meet the requirements of being a Qualified Person under NI 43-101.
